I was lucky enough to go and play in Ireland at the end of August. Let me tell you about my trip and why this destination, although not very cheap, is one of the most beautiful places in the world to play golf. <\/p>\n

Team Titleist International<\/h3>\n

Two years after discovering St Andrews, I decided to take part in the new Team Titleist International event in Ireland. 80% American players, golf fans and fans of the brand, along with a few Europeans (Swedes, English, Italians or Germans), were there. <\/p>\n

And what a surprise it was to meet again some participants I had already come across 24 months earlier, including my friend Elie!<\/p>\n

You can imagine that Titleist does not do things by halves when it comes to welcoming its best fans to the kingdom of Golf! We were pampered for those few days. The stay was organised about an hour south of Dublin at the Druids Glen Resort, centred around two 18-hole courses, including the aptly named “Irish Augusta”. With an additional round at The European Club, an absolutely sublime links course, played in a wind strong enough to blow away even the toughest! <\/p>\n

Rush to the West<\/h3>\n

With my dear Elie along for the ride, we then agreed to continue our journey west, where we went to play the renowned courses of Ballybunion and Waterville. Breathtaking links courses, to be played at least once in a lifetime for lovers of the little white ball!
\nWe stayed in the lovely town of Killarney, which will be one of my go-to bases in the future, without a doubt.
\nAnd on our way back to Dublin, we were lucky enough to find a tee time at the mythical K Club, venue of the 2006 Ryder Cup and host, 8 days after our visit, of the 2025 Irish Open (eventually won by a great Rory McIlroy). <\/p>\n

Quite a stay<\/h3>\n

What a golf country Ireland is! Friendlier and more welcoming people than you could imagine, fish and chips to die for, and rather mild weather made this trip a real pleasure\u2014one that even driving on the left did not spoil!
\nI can only be a true ambassador for the British Isles when it comes to the emotions provided by playing golf on these lands where it is part of Tradition with a capital T.<\/p>\n
